The Mulvane Ladies Soccer team finished off the 2018 regular season in fine fashion by capturing 3rd place in the Wichita North tournament and winning out the last three games against Rose Hill, Winfield, and El Dorado. This season, the Wildcats have outscored their opponents 57-7 and ended the regular season with a 12-2-1 record.
Central/South Central KS Regionals
With her 3 goals in the El Dorado game, sophomore Kolbie McDaniel broke the school record for goals in a season (19 by Elise Gerlach set in 2011). Kolbie currently has 21 goals on the season. Senior Jacey Johnston tied the record with her 4 goals in the El Dorado game and she currently has 19 goals on the season. The team record of 12-2-1 (0.80 Win %) currently tops the school best record for a season, but will have to wait until the final record to see if that will hold.
Grace Myears also earned an ice cream prize with a header goal from a corner kick in the game against Winfield on Tuesday. Grace has the only header goal on the team this season.
"This season has absolutely been a memorable season. I am incredibly proud of each and every girl on the team. They have put in the work and it has really paid off. With just a few more weeks left to go, our focus is on making it as far as we can in Regionals and hopefully into State." said Coach Anna Johnson.
4-1A Regionals start May 14th with the brackets drawn up May 12th.
