Ethan Evans tops his Brother Alex's School Records

MHS - Football / November 8, 2015 By Kasey McDowell

Mulvane Wildcat Senior Ethan Evans earned a couple of spots on the Mulvane High School record books after the conclusion of this years football season. For the past many seasons, the Wildcats have been known for their strong quarterback and receiver combinations. The past couple years were no exception with the Rieger/Evans combo in 2014 and Price/Evans combo in 2015. Ethan ended his high school career with 113 receptions for 1698 receiving yards and 18 TD receptions. These stats include post season games from the 2013-2015 seasons.

The Mulvane High School record books distinguish between regular 9 game season records and total games records that include post season games. Ethan's regular season career numbers were 97 receptions for 1367 yards and 16 TD receptions.

Ethan earned a spot in the records books with 97 career receptions and 16 career TD receptions (regular season). He passed his older brother Alex's record of 88 career receptions and the career TD receptions record (15), which was held by Alex Evans (11-12) and Tyler Springer (06-08). Evans was just shy of his brothers career+ receptions record by one reception. Alex ended with 114 and Ethan ended with 113.

Since 2011, if there was an Evans on the field, he was most likely open. The Evans brothers shared the ability to always find a way to be open and Ethan will surely be missed next season, as Alex was, after he graduated.
