Coming off an Ark Valley Chisholm Trail Div. IV league Championship and sending 4 wrestlers to the 4A State Wrestling Championships with then junior Anthony Scantlin bringing home an individual 4A State Title, Head Coach Rick Langerot expects this year’s team to fulfill those expectations, and then some.

With 42 wrestlers on the mats this season there will be plenty of competition to propel this year’s wrestlers past last season’s results.

Langerot expects to send 7 or even more wrestlers to state this season.

“We could be sending around six or seven Wrestlers to state,” said Langerot.

Finishing 17th overall last season and breaking into one of the top 20 wrestling schools in the state of Kansas, there looks to be no shortage of drive excel.

“There are a lot of players who have the potential to make it to state including my returner from state last year to some of the returning juniors and sophomore” said Langerot.

The whole team works really hard to prepare for upcoming matches throughout the new season.
