Jonae Hamilton Drives In Five To Mulvane Wildcats Victory Over Clearwater

GAME 1
A walk-off left Mulvane Wildcats Varsity on the wrong end of a 10-8 defeat to Clearwater on Thursday. The game was tied at eight with Clearwater batting in the bottom of the tenth when Makenzie Haslett doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Despite the loss, Mulvane Wildcats Varsity did collect 16 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Clearwater had 21 hits on the way to victory.

Mulvane Wildcats Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning, when Ashley Wilson doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Mara Jacobs led things off on the rubber for Clearwater. She allowed 16 hits and eight runs over ten innings, striking out three.

Brooklyn Egan toed the rubber for Mulvane Wildcats Varsity. She lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing 14 hits and seven runs while striking out one and walking zero. Addison Seier threw three and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.

Mulvane Wildcats Varsity tallied 16 hits on the day. Seier, Wilson, Jonae Hamilton, Brooklyn Payne, Rylee Creekmore, and Skylar Darnell all managed multiple hits for Mulvane Wildcats Varsity. Wilson and Seier each collected three hits to lead Mulvane Wildcats Varsity.

Clearwater tallied 21 hits. Madison Simoneau, Haslett, Emma Willis, Jacobs, and Haelyn DePriest each had multiple hits for Clearwater. Simoneau went 5-for-6 at the plate to lead Clearwater in hits.

GAME 2
Jonae Hamilton would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Thursday, driving in five on two hits to lead Mulvane Wildcats Varsity past Clearwater 21-5 on Thursday. Hamilton drove in runs on a triple in the fourth and a groundout in the fourth.

Mulvane Wildcats Varsity secured the victory thanks to 15 runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by Mulvane Wildcats Varsity was led by Hamilton, Ashley Wilson, Skylar Darnell, Lyndsey Meairs, Autumn Cole, and Mercedes McDowell, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Mulvane Wildcats Varsity got things started in the first inning.

Mulvane Wildcats Varsity tallied 15 runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by Mulvane Wildcats Varsity was led by Hamilton, Wilson, Darnell, Meairs, Cole, and McDowell, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Brooklyn Egan led things off on the rubber for Mulvane Wildcats Varsity. She surrendered three runs on six hits over three innings, striking out two and walking one.

Macie McCray led things off on the hill for Clearwater. She allowed 14 hits and 20 runs over three and a third innings, striking out two. Nikki Duerksen threw two-thirds of an inning in relief.

Mulvane Wildcats Varsity racked up 16 hits on the day. Wilson, Darnell, McDowell, Hamilton, and Rylee Creekmore each managed multiple hits for Mulvane Wildcats Varsity. Darnell and Wilson each managed three hits to lead Mulvane Wildcats Varsity. Mulvane Wildcats Varsity tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Hamilton led the way with two.

Briona Woods led Clearwater with two hits in three at bats.
