White scores 14 as the Wildcats defeat the Indians in game 1 of 4A sub-state.

The Mulvane Girls Basketball team faced the Clearwater Indians for the 3rd time this year in the play-in game of the 4A Sub-State bracket. The Indians won the first game against the Wildcats this season 45-37, then the Wildcats bounced back and defeated the Indians 45-31 the second match-up of the season. The Cats came ready to play in the 3rd game and defeated the Indians 41-24.

Junior Carson White lead the Wildcats in scoring as she dropped in three 3-pointers, two field goals, and 1 free throw for 14 points. She also had 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Seniors Keera Parks and Alicia Almirante both scored 9 points and Keera grabbed 13 rebounds. Alicia finished with 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Senior Mady Tharp scored 5 points and had 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Sophomore Kaitlyn Klein scored 4 points and had 4 rebounds and 1 steal.

The Wildcats will face the number 1 seed at Abilene this evening with tip-off at 6:00 PM.
