Coach Dale Landes and the Mulvane Track & Field team traveled to Wellington on Friday (4/26/2019) for the Wellington Invitational. The Wildcats left Wellington with a 1st place and 2nd place finish. The Women's team grabbed their first 1st place finish of the season with 147 points followed by Wellington (123 pts), Rose Hill (93 pts), Conway Springs (73 pts), Caldwell (53 pts), Belle Plaine (39 pts), and South Haven (23 pts). The Men's team finished in 2nd place with 155 points behind Wellington (199 pts) and ahead of Conway Springs (104 pts), Rose Hill (63 pts), Caldwell (17 pts), Belle Plaine (15 pts), and South Haven (2 pts).
The women's team had 6 first place finishes in this meet:
* 800 Meter Run - Anna Moon (2:32.29)
* 1600 Meter Run - Anna Moon (5:52.02)
* 3200 Meter Run - Kaitlyn Frieden (13:22.25)
* 4x400 Meter Relay - Williams-Hansen-Russell-Russell (4:19.32)
* 4x800 Meter Relay - Moon-Russell-Williams-Russell (10:22.56)
* Long Jump - Kloie Simons (16’ 9”)
The women's team finished with 4 second place finishes, 5 third place finish, 5 fourth place finishes, 2 fifth place finishes, and 1 6th place finish.
The men's team finished with 5 first place finishes in this meet:
* 100 Meter Dash- Cole Diffenbaugh (11.04)
* 200 Meter Dash- Cole Diffenbaugh (23.22)
* 4x100 Meter Relay - Webb-Webb-Johnson-Diffenbaugh (43.74)
* Pole Vault - Chase Milledge (13’ 0”)
* Javelin Throw - Jeret Plummer (156’ 2”)
The men's team finished with 5 second place finishes, 7 third place finish, 4 fourth place finishes, 3 fifth place finishes, and 2 6th place finishes.

The Cats will travel to Circle High School on Thursday, May 2nd for the Circle Invitational. Field events start at 3:00 PM.
