No, it's not Ray Stevens, but the football game winning streak of 33 consecutive wins in the 1960s. Starting with a 41-12 win over Anthony on October 5th, 1962, the Wildcats went on a tear through their opponents for the next 4+ seasons and defeated all their opponents until the lost to Derby 7-26 in the first game of the 1966 season. The Wildcats would finish the 1966 season undefeated for an 8-1 record. Mulvane would go on to dominate their opponents during the rest of the 1960's until they went 3-6 in 1970, including several #1 State Rankings.

- 1962: The 1958 season was kind of the start of the Wildcats consecutive success as they finished 7-2 and were Chisholm Trail League (CTL) co-champions under coach Harold Elliot and featured All State guard Wayne Wayman. Mulvane had a mild 5-4 season in 1959 and then Harold Brandenberg took over the head coaching duties in 1960 and they finished 6-3 and in 1961 they finished 7-2. In 1962, the Cats started the season with losses to Derby and Augusta and a win over Harper and then won over the aforementioned Anthony Pirates. The Cats would finish the 1962 season with 6 consecutive wins and outscored their opponents 176-28.

The 1963 was one of the best season of Mulvane's history as they went 9-0 and finished the season as CTL champions and were ranked #1 in the state in Class A as well as #1 in all classes. (see main team photo in article). The Cats outscored their opponents 341 to 34 and featured quarterback Terry Richardson, who held the school passing record for many years and finished with 88 points scored, and Ted Richardson who finished with 71 points. Ron Wayman lead the defense with 139 tackles.

The 1964 team finished 9-0 and were the CTL league champions and were ranked #2 in the state for Class A. This season featured quarterback Mickey Davey and fullback Steve Carmichael. Unfortunately I do not have any season stats or all league info from this season. The Wildcats did outscore their opponents 173-30 in 1964.

The 1965 season was the final season of the win streak and the Wildcats finished as CTL champs, were ranked #1 in the state for Class A, and were ranked #5 in the state for all classes. This team featured First Team All State end Gordon Long and All State 2nd Team fullback Steve Carmichael. The Cats outscored their opponents 333-61.

The 1966 season was a great season but unfortunately started with a 7-26 loss to Derby and then the Cats finished the season undefeated and 8-1 and were CTL league champs and were ranked #1 in the state for Class A.  This ended the win streak at 33 wins.

 - 1969: The Cats had a good 1967 season and finished with a 7-2 record and were CTL league champs as coach Roger Lousch took over the head coaching duties. They had another great undefeated season in 1968 and finished 8-0 and were CTL league champs and ranked #1 in the state in Class 3A. Coach Jim Davie took over the head coaching duties in 1968. The 1969 season was a great season with an 8-1 finish and Wildcats were the CTL league champs and were ranked #2 in the state in Class 3A. This team featured All-American running back James Crawford who finished the season with 1431 yards and held the school record for 27 years.
