Mulvane Track ended season with 16 All League medals, 5 Regional Medals and invites to State.

4A Regional Track Meeet
Mulvane Track & Field wrapped up the season and regional track meet last week and several Wildcats are heading to State. The Women's 4x800 Meter Relay team captured the regional championship with first place time of 10:16.38. Senior Erika Landes leads the team followed by freshman Campbell Williams, Sophomore Josie Russell, and freshman Anna Moon. The 10:16.38 is the best time the 4x800 team has recorded this season.

Another relay team will be making the trip to state, the Men's 4x100 Meter Relay finished 2nd place by .01 second with a time of 42.51. The team is lead by junior Drew Ellis, followed by sophomore CJ Johnson, sophomore Cole Diffenbaugh, and senior Jaden Price. The 42.51 time is also the best time the 4x100 team has recorded this season.

Seniors Erika Landes and Jaden Price will also be participating in some individual events this coming weekend at State. Erika grabbed a 2nd place finish in the 800 Meter Run with a 2:26.37 time. Jayden finished the 100 Meter Dash with a 10.85 time and a 2nd place medal. 10.72 is Jayden's PB throughout is track career which he recorded last year at the State Track Meet. He also will be running the 200 Meter Dash next weekend as he grabbed 2nd place in regionals with a 22.58 time, which is currently is PB as well.

The State Track Meet will be held at Wichita State University-Cessna Stadium (21st and Hillside) on Friday and Saturday May 25-26, 2018.

AVCTL Division IV League
Mulvane had a strong showing in the AVCTL D4 League meet held at Wellington on 5/11/2018. The Wildcats had 16 All League finishes and 4 League Champion 1st place finishes. In the team events, the Men's 4x100 and Women's 4x800 both earned league titles with 1st place finishes. The 4x100 mens team (Ellis-Johnson-Diffenbaugh-Price) ran a 43.43 for the first place medal. The 4x800 women's team (Landes-Williams-Russell-Moon) ran a 10:36.21 for the first place medal. 

Individually, Jaden Price captured 2 league championship medals with a 10.80 in the 100 Meter Dash and a 23.53 in the 200 Meter Dash.

2nd place All League finishes for the Wildcats included CJ Johnson in the 400 Meter Dash (52.53) and the Triple Jump (40' 7.5"), Erika Landes in the 800 Meter Run (2:31.43) and the 1600 Meter Run (5:50.99). 

3rd place All League finishes for the Wildcats included Caden Webb in the 200 Meter Dash (24.22), Ryan Roderick in the 1600 Meter Run (4:58.01), B.Webb-Ellis-Roderick-Diffenbaugh in the 4x400 Meter Relay (3:40.73), Roderick-Heck-Walker-Brill in the 4x800 Meter Relay (9:21.29), Campbell Williams in the 400 Meter Dash (1:05.49), Josie Russell in the 800 Meter Run (2:31.71) and the 1600 Meter Run (5:51.06), and Williams-Russell-Moon-Landes in the 4x400 Meter Relay (4:28.99).
