MHS - Men's Golf / April 3, 2019 By Kasey McDowell


The Mulvane Men's Golf team now has 2 tournaments under their belt and they brought home 1st place from Chaparral this past Tuesday. At Anthony Golf Club the team played some of their best golf to take 1st place as a team with a score of 361, which was 16 strokes ahead of the 2nd place team. Several new personal records were also set. 

Gerald Collier set a new personal record with a 97. Tyler Fox set a new personal record with a 95. Gage Milan individually placed 6th by shooting a 92. Isaac Gardinier individually placed 5th by also shooting a 92, and he set a new personal record. Julian Whetzel set a new personal record by 15 strokes. Julian shot an 82, securing a 2nd place individual finish; 9 strokes ahead of 3rd place.

On Monday the boys played at Crestview Country Club and Tyler Fox lead the Wildcats by shooting a 99 followed by Isaac Gardinier (101), Gage Milan (107),  Josh Gerber (109), Julian Whetzel (116), and Tyler Lanzrath (125). As a team Mulvane shot a 416 and finished 10th out of 11 teams.

The Wildcats will travel to the Wellington Golf Club tomorrow for the Wellington Invitational. Tee off its set for 1:00 PM.
