It was a special evening as the Mulvane Varsity Wrestling team hosted Wellington on Thursday, February 13th for a dual with the Crusaders. The Wildcats celebrated senior night and coach Rick Langerot was presented with the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) 2018-19 State Coach of the Year award "In grateful appreciation of outstanding service and unselfish devotion to interscholastic activities."

The Crusaders were badly hampered by missing wrestlers due to sickness, so the Wildcats only had 6 varsity matches out of the 14 weight classes.
Elijah Hensely (113) lost by fall, Trenton Davis (126) won by fall, Trent Moses (132) won by major decision, Gaige Russell (138) won by fall, Koen Schanz (145) won by fall, Jaxen Young (195) lost by decision, and Ethan McElravy (220) lost by fall.
There were a few JV matches to kick off the evening and Emma Bowman (116) won by fall, Jerika Stiles (130) lost by fall, and Mason Cooper (132) won by fall.
