The Mulvane girls basketball hosted the Wellington Crusaders in a league matchup on Tuesday, February 18th at Mulvane High School and celebrated senior night. Senior Carson White and her family were recognized after the girl's game.
The Wildcats struggled in the first quarter to get the points rolling and were outscored 8-18. The Cats kept close to the Crusaders in the 2nd and 3rd quarters but couldn't quite keep up and were outscored in the 4th quarter 10-23 and fell 37-61.
Senior Carson White led the Cats with 8 points and junior Kaitlyn Klein finished with 6 points, junior Haley Chambers and freshman Jadyn Stevenson both finished with 5 points, junior Campbell Williams and freshman Haley Shaw both finished with 4 points, sophomores Kamryn Nolan and Amber Hansen both finished with 2 points, and freshman Karlie Kanaga finished with 1 point. White, Klein, Stevenson, and Hansen all led the cats in rebounds with 4 each.

The JV girls fell behind in the first quarter and couldn't catch back up and fell 31-50. Emma Kendrick led the Cats with 7 points followed by Lauren Young with 5 points. Karlie Kanaga, Jadyn Stevenson, and Haley Shaw all finished with 4 points each, Avery Dillon with 3 points, and Gabby Bauerle and Bennett Cottrell with 2 points each.

There was no C-Team game as the Crusaders were short on players.

The Wildcats traveled to Wichita Collegiate last Friday for a league matchup with the Spartans. The Cats had trouble breaking through the Spartan defense levels as the varsity fell 39-61, the JV fell 15-25 (only 2 quarters were played), and there was no C-team game.
