The men's basketball team fall to different Indians last Friday and this Tuesday in league matchups.

The Mulvane boys basketball traveled to Clearwater for a league matchup on Tuesday, February 25th against the Indians. The varsity and JV teams both lost in close battles and the C-team won by 3 in a nail biter.

The Wildcats and the Indians were neck and neck in the first half and the Cats went into halftime with a 33-31 lead. The dreaded 3rd quarter has not been kind to the Cats in several games this season and was not kind again as the Indians outscored the Cats 18-7. Mulvane won the 4th quarter but fell short for a 63-69 final.

Trey Abasolo and Mason Ellis led the Cats with 20 and 18 points respectively. Ian Comer dropped in 10 points on the evening, Michael Manis finished with 7 points, Gage Gerlach scored 6 points, and Luke Coffey finished with 2 points.
Manis and Gerlach led the Cats on the boards with 4 rebounds each.

The JV boys led the Indians 24-23 at halftime but the Indians controlled the 2nd half, outscoring the Cats 24-16 for a 47-40 win. Canon Smith had another great game down in the paint and led the Cats with 12 points. Ian Comer dropped in 10 points, Aaron Ballinger finished with 6 points, Julien Myers finished with 5 points, Trent Billingslea finished with 4 points, and Mason Ellis finished with 1 point.

The C-team boys led the Indians by 1 at halftime 18-17. The second half was very close but the Cats edged out the Indians 43-40. Ethan Kasparek had a monster game and led the Cats with 24 points. Julien Myers finished with 7 points, Sam Westfall finished with 6 points, and Jacob Duncan and Tyson Lazier both finished with 3 points.

The Wildcats traveled to Andale last Friday for a league matchup with the Indians. The Indians got the best of the Cats in all 3 levels as the varsity fell 51-59, the JV fell 50-73, and the C-team fell 38-58.
