Cats fall to 0-3 on the season. Looking forward to Homecoming vs Circle this Friday.

The Mulvane Varsity Football Team fell to 0-3 last week as they hosted the Clearwater Indians in the 3rd game of the season on Friday, September 18th. The Cats will face the Circle this coming Friday as they host the Thunderbirds for the 2020 Homecoming game.

The Indians jumped on the Cats, who are down some key players due to injury, quickly in the first quarter, and took a halftime lead of 54-7. The Cats lone score in the first half was a 79-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by senior Tanner Claar. The Cats scored again the 4th quarter with a 15 yd pass from sophomore Chase Dieker to junior Ian Comer. The Wildcats finished the game with 97 yards of offense (27 rush / 70 pass) and the Indians finished with 344 yards (89 rush / 255 pass). Complete stats can be found here. The JV team goes to 0-3 on the season as they faced the Indians tonight and lost 0-26.

The Cats travelled to Andale to take on one of the top teams in the state on Friday, September 11th. The first quarter was evenly matched but the Indians took off in the second quarter, scoring 36 points. The Cats had trouble finding the endzone all game and the final score was 0-63. The Cats finished with 14 yards of total offense (-42 rush / 56 pass) and the Indians finished with 430 yards of offense (393 rush / 37 pass). Complete stats can be found here. The JV team lost to Andale the next Monday 0-72.

The Wildcats kicked off their season hosting the Collegiate Spartans on Friday, September 4th. After a close first quarter, the Spartans added on 28 points in the second quarter to take a 35-0 halftime lead. They added a few more scores in the second half and the final was 0-56. The Wildcats were held to -6 yards and the Spartans finished with 345 yards of total offense. Complete stats can be found here. The JV team lost to Collegiate the next Monday 0-50.
