The Spirit of Three Inaugural Cornhole Tournament
The "Spirit Of Three" memorial scholarship was started in 2006 by the Mulvane High School Football family and friends to honor Emmy Sue, Kyle Adams, and Sam Keys, who were members of the MHS Football Team. Emmy Sue was a freshmen student manager who passed away during the 2006 season, and Kyle and Sam, members of the 2006 MHS football team, passed away a week after their sophomore season in an automobile accident.
Although Emmy Sue, Kyle, and Sam were with us for only a short time, the legacy they left behind, and the challenge they gave to each of us in how to live our lives will never be forgotten. Their jerseys hang in the MHS weight room, where so many people are reminded of, and are in awe of, the way they lived their lives.
- Emmy Sue: Always gave a lending hand to anyone who asked, with a smile
- Sam: Stood up for the less fortunate, he befriended those who saw no hope
- Kyle: Never had a bad word to say about anyone, he always saw our good
The scholarship, which is open to any MHS student who is involved in extracurricular activities, is a way to honor the lives of Emmy Sue, Kyle, and Sam as well as a way to remind each of us to live our lives in a way that reflects what is truly important - the way we treat others.
The scholarship is open to any MHS student, male or female, who is involved in extra-curricular activities. Applicants write an essay on the "Pillars of Character" demonstrated by Emmy Sue, Kyle, and Sam. More importantly, applicants write how they will continue to carry on the "Spirit Of Three" characters in their future lives.
The inaugural Spirit of Three Cornhole Tournament is intended to raise money so that we can continue to honor MHS students and the legacies left by Emmy Sue, Kyle, and Sam. We are requesting cash donations, products to use as incentives and prizes, and publicity to encourage individuals and teams to participate.

* Bags will be provided, but teams are welcome to bring their own
* There will be food vendors, Kona Ice, and various raffles as well.
