The Wildcats defeat the Winfield Vikings and fall to Trinity in their final week of play. Regional game at Topeka next.

The Mulvane girls soccer team closed out their regular season this past week with 2 games against Winfield and Wichita Trinity. The Wildcats made the trip to Winfield on Tuesday and got to work quickly with Jade Smallwood scoring a goal in the first 15 seconds. The Wildcats would with the game 7-2 with Jade scoring 5 goals, Teagan Garrison with 1 goal, and Kierra Cain with 1 goal. Grace Carpenter finished with 2 assists and Makenzie Rogers with 1 assist. Madison Shaw guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 4 saves with 6 shots on goal.

The JV girls had a close game with the Vikings and ended in a 1-1 tie with Mackenzie Walker scoring the Wildcat goal.

The women's varsity team fell to Trinity Academy 0-3 in their final game of the season last Thursday. Madison Shaw guarded the Wildcats net and finished the game with 12 saves with 15 shots on goal. The JV girls fell 0-6.

The Wildcats finished their season with a 5-11 record and 4-5 in league play. The JV girls ended their season with a 0-12-3 record.

The varsity girls drew the #10 seed in the regional lineup and will travel to Topeka Hayden (#7 seed) for their first regional game on Monday, May 13th for a 4:00 PM game. The winner will play the #2 seed Rose Hill for the Regional #2 championship.
