The MMS boys wrestling closes out 2024 season with 7 medals at Patriot League tournament.

The Mulvane Middle School boys wrestling team wrapped up their 2024 season yesterday, hosting the Patriot League tournament at the Mulvane High School. The Wildcats finished in 6th place with 131 team points. The Cats had 7 medalists in the tournament with one champion! Victor Adkins finished in 1st place in the 134 lb weight class with 3 wins by fall and 1 win by decision. Justin Pierce finished in 2nd place in the 80 lb weight class with 2 wins by fall and 1 win by decision. Jace Parker finished in 2nd place in the 85 lb weight class with 1 win by tech fall.
Layne Sorensen finished in 3rd place in the 90 lb weight class with a win by decision, a win by fall, and a win by tech fall. Jacob Dingman finished in 3rd place in the 141 lb weight class with a win by fall and a win by injury default. Daniel Morris finished in 3rd place in the 148 lb weight class with 2 wins by fall. Caleb Taylor finished in 3rd place in the 265 lb weight class.
