The Mulvane Women's Golf Team kicked off the season with a 4th place finish at the Ark City Invitational

Mulvane Women's Golf Coach Kyle Headrick and the girl's team has been hitting the links for the past few weeks practicing and they traveled to Winfield Country Club for the opening 9-hole tournament of the season on Tuesday, September 1st. The Wildcats finished in 4th place with a finished of 273 strokes. The low team score was 190 by the Andover team and the top medalist was Shauna Lee from Andover Central.

Mulvane's lone senior Shyra Herrman led the Wildcats with a 63 for 11th place individually. Freshman Payton Fox finished with a 66 for 15th place, sophomore Brooklyn Loveless finished with a 71 for 18th place, junior Jorja Knodel finished with a 73 for 20th place, and freshman Kaia Moore finished with an 81 for 22nd place.

The Wildcats will travel to Derby Golf & Country Club on Tuesday, September 8th for the JV Derby Invitational and then back the Winfield Country Club on Thursday, September 10th for the Winfield Invitational.
