MHS - Cross Country / September 7, 2020 By Kasey McDowell
The Mulvane High School and Middle School Cross Country teams all traveled to Clearwater last Thursday, September 3rd for the Clearwater Invitational. The Wildcats came away with 6 medals from varsity on down to 7th grade. Senior Campbell Williams was the lone runner in the girls 5000-meter run and Campbell finished in 7th place with a 25:03.70 time (8:04 mile avg). Junior Kaitlyn Frieden ran in the Junior/Senior girls 2-mile run and finished in 20th place with a 17:12.10 time (8:36 mile avg).
In the Middle School races, Leiannah Landreth grabbed a medal with a 3rd place finish in the 8th-grade girls 2-mile run with a 16:15.69 time. Carson Trione finished in 18th place in the 8th boys 2-mile run with a 15:21.26 time. Johnathan Wilson finished in 2nd place in the 7th boys 1-mile run with a 6:20.07 time.
