The tale of two halves as Mulvane girls basketball team faced Labette Co. in the Thunderbird Classic.

The Mulvane girls basketball teams faced Labette Co. last Saturday, December 12th in what was to be the last game of the Circle Tournament, however, the girl's Parsons games from last week have been moved to December 19th.

It was the tale of two halves as the girls faced Labette Co. at Mulvane High School. The Cats were pretty even with the Grizzlies in the first half, going into halftime down 22-25. The girls struggled to put points up in the third quarter, outscored 0-12 and in the 4th quarter as well as they fell 28-53. Sophomore Jadyn Stevenson led the Cats with 7 points and senior Caylee Davis led the Cats in rebounds with 6 boards.

The JV girls had a close game against the Grizzlies with a close 20-18 in the first half. The Grizzlies were able to hold the Cats off in the second half for the 38-35 win. Freshman Madison Phipps led the Cats with 8 points, senior Campbell Williams finished with 7 points, and freshman Teagan Garrison finished with 6 points.

The C-Team girls fell behind quickly in the first half going into halftime down 5-28 and had trouble finding the basket for the second half as well, but did manage to drop in 12 points. The girls fell 17-53 against the Grizzlies. Freshman Madison Phipps led the Cats with 7 points.
