The royal court for the 2021 fall homecoming has been announced.

The fall sports seasons are partway over and the weather is starting to turn a bit cool. This means that homecoming is upon us and the 2021 fall homecoming candidates have been announced.

The first queen candidate is Miss Malena Heck. Malena is the daughter of Joel and Tempe Heck. Malena is involved in cheer, band, jazz band, KAY, student council, SADD, track, national honor society, tap and clogging, and piano. Malena is being escorted by the first king candidate, Mr. Victor Salazar. Victor is the son of Chris and Amber Keeling. Victor’s activities include cross country, track and field, KAY, wrestling, and National Honor Society.

The second queen candidate is Miss Bella Larraga. Bella’s parents are Brenda Bohanan and the late Mario Larraga. Bella is involved in KAY, student council, Women’s choir, Esprit, band, musicals, softball, track, cheer, and golf. Escorting Bella is Mr. Keaton Herd, the second king candidate.  Keaton’s parents are Jeremy and Holly Willig and Michael and Ashley Evans. Keaton’s activities include football and baseball. 

The third queen candidate is Miss Cierra Milledge. Cierra is the daughter of Shane and Shelly Milledge. Cierra’s activities at Mulvane High School are cheer, track, National Honor Society, KAY, SADD, and student council. Her escort is Mr. Kelton Boster. Kelton is the son of Ryan Boster and Theresa Cummins. Kelton’s activities include soccer, basketball, baseball, wrestling, band, drumline, student council, national honor society, and forensics.

The fourth and final queen candidate is Miss Kamryn Nolan. Kamryn is the daughter of Chris and Kari Nolan. As a student at MHS, Kamryn has been involved in student council, FFA, NHS, SADD, cross country, basketball, and soccer. Kamryn is being escorted by Mr. Ian Comer, the final king candidate. Ian’s parents are Brian and Gina Comer. Ian’s activities during high school are football, basketball, and baseball.

The attendants for homecoming are Emma Headrick and Koen Kline. Emma is the daughter of Kyle and Kim Headrick. Kyle teaches business and computer science. Additionally, Kyle is the boys golf coach and sponsor of Future Business Leaders of America. Koen is the son of Tim and Dani Kline. Dani teaches language arts at the high school and also co-sponsors the senior class and SADD.      

The homecoming festivities will be held during halftime of the Mulvane vs Coffeyville game next Friday, October 1st.

The themes for Spirit Week next week are:

  • Monday - Pajama Day
  • Tuesday - Twinning
  • Wednesday - Color War
    • Seniors - Black
    • Juniors - White
    • Sophomores - Gray
    • Freshman - Green
  • Thursday - Throw Back
  • Friday - Green/White Day
