Mulvane Alumnus Trey Abasolo and the Moundbuilders got some pre-season work in at the Oklahoma City Thunder Arena.

On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, Mulvane’s Trey Abasolo and the Southwestern College Men’s Basketball team defeated Central Christian College 84-50 in Oklahoma City, OK, at the Paycom Center, home of the Oklahoma City Thunder. 
 
The neutral-site matchup was billed at the Bridge Builder Classic, created by 1993 Alumnus of Southwestern College, AltonGuidry, and sponsored by Green Tree. The game gave both teams the opportunity to experience playing on an NBA court inside an NBA arena. 
 
The Moundbuilders built a 19pt halftime lead, 46-27, and held off the Tiger attack in the second half, winning 84-50
 
Abasolo played 6 minutes, finished with 1 rebound and 1 steal in the contest.
 
Abasolo and the Moundbuilders are currently 3-0 to start the season, and preseason polls have Southwestern finishing 4th overall in the KCAC. The moundbuilders are back in action at home on Monday, Nov. 1 at 5 pm hosting the Ozark Christian College Ambassadors.
