Comer drops in 20 points in tough battle against Collegiate, Cats fall by 2 in overtime.

The Cats traveled to Wichita Collegiate for a league matchup for the last game of the year before Christmas break. The Wildcats fell behind by just a few points after the 1st quarter and a strong 2nd quarter gave the Cats a 20-14 lead at halftime. The Spartans came out strong in the 3rd quarter and jumped ahead by 2 points going into the fourth. The game was back and forth in the 4th quarter and the Spartans were able to tie the game just before the buzzer sounded. The Cats and Spartans were neck-and-neck in overtime but the Cats fell 49-51 as the buzzer sounded. Ian Comer led the Wildcats with 20 points on the evening and also in rebounds with 15 boards in the game. Kaiden Abasolo also broke into double digits with 16 points and had 9 rebounds in the game.

A tough first half found the JV team down big and the Cats were unable to climb back in as they fell 44-59. Shannon Fuller led the Wildcats with 11 points in the game.
