The Mulvane JV girls volleyball team had their first tournament of the season, bring home 3rd place from Conway Springs.

The Mulvane High School JV volleyball girls traveled to Conway Springs today for their first tournament of the season. The girls had a great day on the court and finished with a 3-2 record and finished in 3rd place overall.

In their opening match, Mulvane delivered a strong performance against the Haven Wildcats, winning decisively with scores of 25-14 and 25-16. However, their momentum faced a setback in the next round as they encountered the host team, the Conway Springs Cardinals. The Wildcats lost a closely contested match, with the sets ending 25-23, 20-25, and 12-15.

Mulvane bounced back in their next game, overcoming the Clearwater Indians with a solid performance, winning 25-20 and 25-15. Yet again, the Wildcats faced a tough challenge against the Cheney Cardinals, falling short with scores of 10-25 and 22-25.

The Wildcats had to face Conway Springs again in their final match and Mulvane came out on top, winning 25-22 and 25-12, which secured their 3rd place finish in the tournament.

The JV squad consisted of (L to R) Maddy Murray (Fr.), Halle Ensley (Fr.), Brienna Binger (So.), Juliana Holman (Fr.), Gracie Warner (Fr.), Addyson Clinesmith (Fr.), Trinity McCabe (Fr.), and Ellie Willig (Jr.).

The JV girls are 3-6 on the year and will be back in action at home for their first home games on Tuesday, September 17th at 5:00 PM.

The C-Team girls had their first games of the year this past week as they traveled to Rose Hill for a quad. The girls fell to Rose Hill with scores of 20-25 and 23-25. The Cats face a tough Buhler team and lost 10-25 and 13-25. The Wildcats got their first win of the season against Winfield with scores of 25-14, 18-25, and 15-5. The C-Team girls are 1-2 on the year.
