Kellyn Holt receives All-KCAC honors as a Tabor Bluejay

    Former Mulvane Wildcat Kellyn Holt (2012) finished up her first season with the Tabor Bluejays softball team as they ended with a 26-25 season record and 12-7 in conference play. Five of the Bluejays were named to the All-KCAC softball team including Kellyn who was named All-KCAC Second Team for center field. Kellyn served as the Tabor table setter hitting lead off in 50 starts and 51 games. Holt finished the season hitting 0.301 with 8 doubles, 4 triples, and 2 home runs. She lead the Bluejays with 43 runs scored and 18 stolen bases.

    Kellyn spent two years playing softball at Highland Community College before signing with Tabor last year.She ended her sophomore year at Highland with a 0.328 AVG, 15 Runs, 21 hits, and 5 RBI. Her freshman season she ended with a 0.345 AVG, 35 Runs, 38 Hits, and 16 RBI. The Highland Scotties won their division championship and went to Nationals.
2013 Article Snippet: The Scottie softball squad continued its conference and district dominance as it swept through the Division II District E championship in Topeka over the weekend, winning both games on Saturday and needing only one game on Sunday to be crowned the champs and go to the National Tournament for the fifth straight year under head coach Heidi Jordan and assistant Scott Jordan

    Kellyn was a 3-year starter at Mulvane 2010-2012 and was part of the three consecutive league championship teams and the 2010 & 2012 state tournament teams. She set and still holds the school record for stolen bases in a season with 16 in 2010 season. Kellyn was a three time All League recipient with a 1st team bid in 2010 for outfield, 2nd team bid in 2011 for outfield, and honorable mention in 2012 for shortstop. She ended her Mulvane softball career with a 0.367 batting average, 70 hits, 77 runs scored, and 30 stolen bases.
