Sweeps Week for Mulvane Softball

The Wildcats combined for 5 home runs against Rose Hill and finished the week 4-0.

The Mulvane softball team had a heck of a week last week as they had two doubleheaders against El Dorado and Rose Hill. The Wildcats swept both teams to go 4-0 on the week. The Wildcats bats came alive last week as they had 63 hits in 4 games. The Cats hosted El Dorado on Monday and the Cats took the lead in the 4th inning and finished strong with a 9-4 win. Addison Mackey earned the win for Mulvane. She tossed 7 innings, giving up 4 runs, 9 hits, walking 3, and 6 strikeouts.

Reece Lazier went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits. Jaryn Baker, Madison Phipps, Regan Witt, Blake Ferraro, Addison Mackey, and Avrie Warner also had hits in the game for the Cats.

Mulvane collected 8 RBIs in the game and Reece Lazier knocked in 4 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs. Blake Ferraro, Regan Witt, and Addison Mackey each collected RBIs for the Cats.

In game 2, the Wildcats had a late run in the 4th and 6th innings to get the 11-1 run rule. Sophie Bruce earned the win for the Mulvane Wildcats. She tossed 6 innings, giving up 1 run, 2 hits, walking 1, and 5 strikeouts.

Blake Ferraro went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Cats in hits. Kinley Kendrick, Olivia Ellis, Regan Witt, Reece Lazier, Makaylen Warner, Madison Phipps, and India Downs also had hits in the game for the Cats.

The Cats knocked in 9 RBIs in the game and Blake Ferraro knocked in 4 runners to lead the Cats in RBIs. Regan Witt, Kinley Kendrick, and Makaylen Warner each had RBIs for the Cats.

The Wildcats traveled to Rose Hill on Thursday and had a phenomenal night against the Rockets. The Wildcats broke open the scoring in the 2nd inning and continued until they were able to get the 13-1 run rule. Addison Mackey earned the win for the Cats. She tossed 6 innings, giving up 1 run, 5 hits, walking 2, and 4 strikeouts.

Madison Phipps went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Cats in hits. Avrie Warner, Blake Ferraro, Addison Mackey, Regan Witt, Makaylen Warner, Reece Lazier, and Jaryn Baker each collected hits in the game for Mulvane. Blake Ferraro and Regan Witt both had home runs in the game. This was the first career home run for Blake and Witt's 2nd home run of the year.

The Mulvane Wildcats grabbed 13 RBIs in the game. Madison Phipps knocked in 4 runners to lead the Cats in RBIs. Madison Phipps, Blake Ferraro, Jaryn Baker, Regan Witt, Makaylen Warner, Reece Lazier, and Olivia Ellis each collected RBIs for Mulvane.

The Wildcats stole 3 bases during the game with Blake Ferraro, Kinley Kendrick, and Olivia Ellis all grabbing stolen bases.

Madison Phipps went 5-for-6 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits. Regan Witt, Makaylen Warner, Kinley Kendrick, Reece Lazier, Olivia Ellis, Ellie Willig, Avrie Warner, and Blake Ferraro each collected hits in the game for the Mulvane Wildcats. Madison Phipps smashed 2 home runs and Regan Witt hit another home run for her second of the night.

The Cats had 18 RBIs in the game and Regan Witt knocked in 8 runners to lead Mulvane. Madison Phipps, Makaylen Warner, Olivia Ellis, Avrie Warner, and Blake Ferraro also collected RBIs for the Mulvane Wildcats.
