Game 3 of the match at Derby versus Augusta and McPherson would prove to be something to remember for the 2018 Mulvane Bowling team. The men's team combined for a school record of 989 for game 3 (Titus-277, May-265, Moon-235, and Roach-212). This tops the current record of 980 set in the 2015-16 season. The men's team finished the 3 game series with a 2615 for the night and were 2nd place behind McPherson. The men's team is lead by seniors Kael Titus, Garrett Moon, and Auston O'Daniel.
The women's team also surged in game 3 with a team total of 900 (Cuiksa-288, Schiffelbein-248, Mills-206, and Human-158) which tops the current school record of 887 that was set in the 2014-15 season. Kayleigh Cuiksa's 288 also tops the single game record of 278 set by Maddison Osenbaugh (currently bowling for Newman University) in the 2015-16 season. The women's team finished the 3 game series with a 2315 and were the top team over Augusta and McPherson. The women's team is led by seniors Kayleigh Cuiksa, Kaitlain McDonald, Joleen Mills, and Bianca Kerr.
"I was very happy with the performance of our bowlers. All of the records were bowled in the last of the 3 games. To me, this shows the resilience, commitment, and perseverance of our bowlers. They work hard in practice to improve and probably the best thing I notice; during our meets there are conversations between bowlers on what is happening and what they need to do to adjust. I am excited to see what the next part of the season brings." said Coach Lance Heath.
