The Mulvane girls volleyball season came to a close at sub-state after girls fall to Clay Center.

The Mulvane High School volleyball team closed out their 2023 season at Sub-state this past Saturday at Andale. The Wildcats faced Clay Center in their first match and fell 0-2 to the Tigers with scores of 17-25 and 17-25. The varsity girls finished their season with a 14-16 record and 4-6 in AVCTL D3 league play. The JV girls finished their season with a 9-17 record and the fr/so girls finished their season with a 7-19 record.

The varsity girls finished the season with 687 kills, 150 blocks, 116 aces, 1100 digs, 1121 serve receives, 631 assists, and 1790 hits. Junior Makenna Treat led the Cats in kills with 174, Kill percentage with 39.8%, and blocks with 64. Senior Ashlyn Alumbaugh led the girls in assists with 293, serves completed with 277, and aces with 28. Junior Madi Cunningham led the team in completed hits with 383 and completed serve receives with 285. Senior Teagan Garrison led the team in digs with 244 on the year, serve percentage with 98.1%, and serve receive percentage with 91.6%. Sophomore Charli Richardson led the team in hit percentage with 86.5%.

The Wildcats will graduate 3 seniors after this year: Ashlyn Alumbaugh, Teagan Garrison, and Justice Blake.
