The Mulvane Track & Field Team Finish State with Medals and 4A All State Honors in 5 Events

Facing bad weather with several delays and postponements, the 4A State Track Meet finally concluded yesterday and Mulvane left with 5 state medals and All State Honors in 5 events. After a great Regional track meet, the Wildcats qualified for and competed in 19 events at the State Track Meet.

The Wildcats finished in the top 8 and earned 4A All State Honors in 5 events:

  • Cole Diffenbaugh - 100 Meter Dash (11.13 - 4th Place)
  • Josie Russell - 800 Meter Run (2:25.81 - 5th Place)
  • Anna Moon - 1600 Meter Run (5:37.16 - 8th Place)
  • Drew Ellis, Caden Webb, CJ Johnson, Cole Diffenbaugh - 4x100 Meter Relay (43.69 - 6th Place)
  • Campbell Williams, Anna Moon, Kaydran Russell, Josie Russell,  - 4x800 Meter Relay (10:05.66 - 5th Place)

  • Cole Diffenbaugh - 200 Meter Dash (23.18 - 10th Place)

  • Anna Moon - 800 Meter Run (2:33.05 - 14th Place)
  • Campbell Williams, Amber Hansen, Kaydran Russell, Josie Russell - 4x400 Meter Relay (4:19.41 - 9th Place)
  • Kloie Simons - Long Jump (15' 2" - 12th Place)
  • Chase Milledge - Pole Vault (12' 6" - 10th Place)
  • Kloie Simons - Pole Vault (9' 0" - 10th Place)
  • Addy Whistler - Pole Vault (8' 0" - 15th Place)
  • Jeret Plummer - Shot Put (42' 7.75" - 14th Place)
  • Jeret Plummer - Javelin Throw (159' 11" - 11th Place)
  • Blake Scott - Javelin Throw (151' 9" - 12th Place)

This state meet marks the end of an era for Mulvane Track as Coach Dale Landes is retiring from teaching and coaching. The Mulvane Track & Field team however will be in good hands as Coach Robin Williams will be taking over the head coaching duties next year.
