The 2024-25 winter homecoming week is upon us and the candidates for this year have been announced. The first queen candidate is Miss Cydnee Adams. Cydnee is the daughter of Zach Adams and Cerina and Brandon Buehne. As a student at MHS, Cydnee has participated in soccer, FCA, and National Honor Society. Cydnee is being escorted by the first king candidate, Mr. Gaelin Mason-Schmidt. Gaelin is the son of Josh Schmidt and Megan and Brandon Mitchell. Gaelin’s activities include football and wrestling.
The second queen candidate is Miss Leiannah Landreth. Leiannah’s parents are Melissa and Joe Landis. Leiannah has been involved in cross country and wrestling. Escorting Leiannah is Mr. Koehn Dietrich, the second king candidate. Koehn’s parents are David and Cristin Dietrich. Koehn has been involved in wrestling.
The third queen candidate is Miss Mallory Ramos. Mallory is the daughter of Shawn and Robyn Ramos. Mallory’s activities at Mulvane High School have included soccer, National Honor Society, KCAT News, Prom Committee, FCA, and FCCLA. Mallory is also a member of the Platinum Dance Company and Metropolitan Ballet Company. Mallory’s escort is Mr. Dylan Paul. Dylan’s parents are Derek and Krysti Paul. Dylan’s activities include golf, National Honor Society, and FFA.
The fourth and final queen candidate is Miss Jade Smallwood. Jade’s parents are Devin and Christine Smallwood. As a student at MHS, Jade has participated in Soccer, FCCLA, National Honor Society, and Team Green. Jade is being escorted by Mr. Julius Opitz, the final king candidate. Julius is the son of Jan and Katrin Opitz, and his host parents are Mike and Karrie Jackson. Julius has been involved in football and wrestling.
The attendants this year are Ailee Berry and Emersyn Sula. Ailee is the daughter of Michael and Maureen Berry. Maureen is the 6th through 12th-grade vocal music teacher. Emersyn is the granddaughter of Teresa Sula and the daughter of Justin and Jessica Sula. Teresa is a special education teacher, teaching students daily and life skills at MHS.
