The Mulvane girls' basketball team was on the road all last week at Andale and Augusta. The varsity girls defeated the Orioles in their first meeting this year and the Cats repeated their performance this time around with a 47-39 win. The Cats jumped out ahead in the first half 25-16 and finished strong for their 9th win of the season. Kylie Schwanke led the Cats with 15 points on the evening as well as on the boards with 6 rebounds. Olivia Ellis and Brittani Peschel both broke into double digits with 14 points each.
The JV game was back and forth in the first half, but the Cats had a strong 15-4 fourth quarter and got the 40-29 win over the Orioles. Kinley Kendrick led the Cats with 11 points on the evening. The C-team played just two quarters against the Orioles and the Cats came out on top with a score of 28-23. Kaitlyn Paul led the girls with 12 points on the evening.

The girls traveled to Andale last Tuesday and a non-league matchup against the Indians. The girls went into halftime tied 20-20. The Cats had a tough 9-16 third quarter and that would be the difference in the game as the Cats fell in a close one 48-54. Kylie Schwanke led the Ladycats with 16 points on the evening as well as on the boards with 7 rebounds. Brittani Peschel and Olivia Ellis both scored in double digits with 13 and 12 points respectively.
The JV had trouble getting points to fall against Andale as they fell 10-37. Kinley Kendrick and Halle Ensley led the girls with 4 points each in the game. The C-team girls had trouble breaking through the Andale defense as they fell 24-75. Lucia Jal and Haylynn Jones led the Cats with 6 points each on the evening.

The varsity girls are sitting at 9-7 on the year and 4-2 in league play. The JV girls are 9-4 on the year and the C-Team girls are 5-5. The Wildcats will host Buhler on Monday, February 17th for a league matchup (game moved up from Tuesday due to inclement weather).
