The Mulvane men's soccer varsity and JV teams had tournaments this past week at Ark City and Wichita Northwest.

The Mulvane men's soccer team participated in the Ark City tournament this past week. The Wildcats faced some tough opponents and kicked off the tournament against Augusta, falling 2-6 to the Orioles. The Wildcats found the net twice in the game with scores from Cole Zimmerman and Gunner Uhrig with Dominic Liberto with both assists. Parker Slayton guarded the Wildcats net for part of the game and finished the game with 5 saves out of 9 shots on goal. Eli Boyd also played goalie for part of the game and finished with 3 saves out of 5 shots on goal.

The Wildcat's second game was against a very good Valley Center team. The Wildcats had trouble finding the net against the Hornets and fell 0-8.  Eli Boyd guarded the Wildcats net and finished the game with 6 saves out of 13 shots on goal. Parker Slayton shared goalie time as well and finished the game with 4 saves out of 5 shots on goal.

The final game of the tournament was against the host team Ark City. The Cats were able to get some goals this game with Gunner Uhrig scoring twice and Kristopher Paul finishing with 1 goal. Dominic Liberto and Gunner Smith each had 1 assist in the game.  Parker Slayton guarded the Wildcats net and finished the game with 5 saves out of 12 shots on goal. Eli Boyd also guarded the Wildcats net and finished the game with 8 saves out of 8 shots on goal.

The JV team also participated in a tournament at Wichita Northwest this weekend and got 2 games in on Friday and 1 game on Saturday. The Wildcats fell to Campus on Friday 0-5 and fell to Winfield 1-7 with a goal from Izayah Dedeaux. The Cats final game of the tournament was against Wichita South where the Wildcats fell 0-7.

The Wildcats will travel to Buhler on Tuesday, September 17th for a league matchup against the Crusaders.
