MHS - Women's Basketball / January 19, 2025 By Kasey McDowell
The Wildcats had only one game last week as they faced Circle at home for an AVCTL D3 matchup against the Thunderbirds. The varsity girls fell behind in the first half down 15-21. The girls had a competitive second half, but couldn't make up the points and fell 35-42. Brittani Peschel led the Cats with 11 points on the evening and Kylie Schwanke led the Cats on the boards with 6 rebounds.
The JV team took care of business as they kept Circle at bay all game long. The girls fell behind in the first quarter 4-7 but had a monster 18-2 second quarter and kept up the pressure all second half to get the 40-26 win. Kinley Kendrick led the Ladycats with 10 points on the evening. The C-Team girls had trouble breaking through the Circle defense as they fell 20-40. Haylynn Jones led the girls with 8 points on the evening.
