The Mulvane varsity volleyball team wins the Belle Plaine Invitational for the third year in a row.

The Mulvane varsity volleyball team traveled to Belle Plaine this past Saturday for the Belle Plaine Invitational, the tournament the Wildcats have won 2 years in a row. The Wildcats kicked off the day with a decisive 2-0 win against the Belle Plaine Dragons, dominating with scores of 25-14 in both sets.

After a tough match against the Moundridge Wildcats, where they fell 0-2 (15-25, 21-25), Mulvane bounced back with a strong 2-0 victory over the Chaparral Roadrunners, winning 25-8 and 25-18. The Wildcats continued their momentum, defeating the Central Christian Cougars in a thrilling contest that ended 2-1, with scores of 20-25, 25-15, and 25-16. In the championship match against the Smoky Valley Vikings, Mulvane triumphed 2-1, overcoming a first-set loss (20-25) to win the next two sets 25-23 and 25-14. 

The Wildcats are the Belle Plaine Invitational Champs for the third year in a row and move to 14-11 on the year.



The JV girls traveled to Rose Hill on Saturday for the Rose Hill Invitational. The Wildcats went 1-3 on the day, falling to Andale 0-2 with scores of 7-25 and 16-25, Wichita Trinity 0-2 with scores of 15-25 and 23-25, and Andover 0-2 with scores of 17-25 and 10-25. The Wildcats ended the day with a 2-1 win over Goddard with scores of 21-25, 25-17, and 15-9. The JV girls move to 7-16 on the year.
