The Mulvane Middle School 7th grade girls close out their 2024 season at league tournament.

The 7th-grade girls' basketball wrapped up their 2024 season with an away game at El Dorado last Monday and a home game against Haysville last Thursday, then the league tournament on Saturday. The 7A had trouble getting points to fall against El Dorado as they fell 12-33. Khloe Schwanke led the girls with 5 points in the game. The 7B girls won their game against El Dorado 24-4 (there was no book available from this game).

The 7A team faced Haysville on Thursday and the Cats had the game in hand through three quarters. Haysville tried a comeback in the 4th, but the Wildcats came out on top 25-18. Khloe Schwanke led the team with 10 points in the game. The 7B team took care of business, keeping Haysville at bay all game, winning 31-18. Annabelle Nett led the girls with 8 points on the evening.

The 7A team traveled to Wellington on Saturday for the Patriot League tournament. The girls faced Ark City in their first game. The Wildcats were in control for the entire game, winning 34-23 over the Bulldogs. Finley Tovar led the girls with 13 points on the evening. The second game was against Wellington and the Wildcats fell behind in the first half 6-19. The Cats had a better second half but could not make up the difference, falling 21-34. Finley Tovar led the Cats with 13 points in the contest.

The 7A girls finished the season with a 6-8 record and 3-2 in league play. Finley Tovar led the Cats in points with 100 points this season, averaging 7.1 points per game. The 7B girls finished the season with a 9-3 record and 2-3 in league play. The final 7B stats are unknown as we are missing the books from a few games.
