The Mulvane High School girls wrestling team had two tournaments and a dual last week before the Christmas break. The girls traveled to Wellington on Thursday for a dual with the Crusaders. There were a lot of open weights and the Cats fell 24-54. 

The girls traveled to Wichita North on Friday for the North Invitational. The Wildcats only had 7 wrestlers at North and finished in 11th place with 29 team points. Senior Leiannah Landreth finished in 1st place for the Cats in the 120 lb weight class with all three wins by fall. Six JV girls traveled to Chase County on Saturday and finished in 11th place with 22 team points. Freshman Peyton Rankin finished in 4th place in the 130 lb weight class.

The Wildcats will be back in action on Thursday, January 9th, hosting a dual against Buhler.
