The Mulvane wrestling team participated in the Augusta Invitational, finishes with 2 medalists and 9th place.

The Mulvane wrestling team traveled to Augusta on Saturday for the 57th Annual Augusta Invitational. The Wildcats were a little short handed but finished in 9th place overall with 54 points. The Cats had two wrestlers finish on the podium as senior Cameron Hagerman finished in 3rd place in the 190 lb weight class, going 4-1 in the tournament. Junior KJ Schanz finished in 4th place in the 285 lb weight class, going 1-3 in the tournament.
The JV team finished in 3rd place in the JV tournament with 108.5 points and the Cats had six top-4 finishes with Ethan Everhart finishing in 1st place in the 215 lb weight class, Connor Garcia finishing in 2nd place in the 150 lb weight class, Kolton Whisler finishing in 2nd place in the 138 lb weight class, Tyson Rhodes finishing in 2nd place in the 132 lb weight class, Tegan Thrash finishing in 2nd place in the 126 lb weight class, and Luke Schmalbach finishing in 4th place in the 113 lb weight class.
