The Mulvane Wildcats hosted the Buhler Crusaders for the regional state game last Thursday in a rematch of game 1 between the teams this season. The Crusaders came out on top in game 1 and the same fate awaited the Wildcats as the Crusaders won 62-21, closing out the 2024 season for Mulvane.
The Wildcat's offense finished the game with 301 total yards on 55 plays with 152 yards rushing and 149 yards passing. Manny Myers finished with 149 yards on 9 completions out of 20 attempts. Manny Myers finished with 87 yards rushing on 10 attempts and 2 rushing TDs. Kurtis Caruthers finished with 64 yards receiving on 1 receptions.
The Wildcats defense was led by Dylan Rogers finished with 17 tackles (5 solo - 12 assist) and 1.0 tackles for loss. Grady Myers finished with 11 tackles (7 solo - 4 assist). Preston Grube finished with 6 tackles (1 solo - 5 assist). Drew Miller finished with 6 tackles (1 solo - 5 assist) and 1.0 tackles for loss. Gaelin Mason-Schmidt finished with 4 tackles (0 solo - 4 assist).

The Wildcats finished the season with a 7-3 record and 3-2 in AVCTL D3 league play. Junior quarterback Manny Myers led the Wildcats in rushing yards with 1372 yards on 135 carries and 19 rushing touchdowns. Senior Fisher Dye finished the season with 909 yards on 154 carries and 11 rushing touchdowns. Junior Kurtis Caruthers finished the season with 194 yards on 42 carries and 3 rushing touchdowns.
In the air, Manny Myers finished with 92 completions for 1264 passing yards and 12 passing touchdowns. Sophomore Grady Myers led the Cats in receiving with 340 yards on 26 receptions and 4 touchdown receptions. Junior Caleb Boor finished with 285 yards on 17 receptions and 3 touchdown receptions. Fisher Dye finished with 164 yards on 17 receptions and 1 touchdown. Sophomore Hays Ensley finished with 161 yards on 11 receptions and 2 touchdowns. Senior Cameron Hagerman finished with 113 yards on 9 receptions and 2 touchdowns.
The Mulvane defense was led by senior Dylan Rogers who finished with 79 tackles (33 solo and 46 assists) and 11.0 tackles for loss. Fisher Dye finished with 52 tackles (26 - 26) and 8.0 tackles for loss. Grady Myers finished with 48 tackles (28 - 20) and 3.5 tackles for loss. Sophomore Drew Miller finished with 42 tackles (18 - 24) and 4.5 tackles for loss. Senior Preston Grube finished with 40 tackles (7 - 33) and 2.5 tackles for loss.
