The Mulvane Middle School football teams hosted the Rose Hill Rockets last Thursday for the final home games of the 2024 season. The 7th-grade boys fought valiantly but could not get the ball in the endzone, falling 0-34. "We struggled to get anything going on offense and had trouble stopping them on defense in the first half," said Coach Beikman. "We played a better second half but just could not find the endzone. The kids fought all four quarters."

In the 8th-grade game, the Wildcats jumped on the board early and often as they defeated the Rockets 48-8. The Cats scored twice in the first quarter with touchdown runs by Beckett Frazier and Easton Workman and the Mulvane defense got in the mix with a defensive safety. In the second quarter, Hollis Ensley found the endzone twice and Easton Workman added a score as well. The Wildcats closed out the game in the second half with scores from Frazier and Mason Rogers. "This group continued to improve each week and played their best game of the year," said Coach Beikman. "This team played for each other each game and was a great group to coach. I wish them the best in their high school careers and can’t wait to watch them in the future."
