The Mulvane High School volleyball team closed out their fall 2024 season at the regional tournament last Saturday, held at Clay Center. The Wildcats faced the Buhler Crusaders in their first game and the Cats took the first set 25-12, had a very close second set, but the Cats fell 25-27, and the third set was also very close, but the Wildcats fell 23-25.
The varsity girls finished the season with a 17-15 overall record and 5-5 in league play. The JV girls finished their season with a 10-19 record, and the C-Team girls finished their season with a 5-19 record.
The Wildcats finished the season with 774 kills, 33.4 kill percentage, 193 blocks, 125 aces, 1190 digs, 1942 hits, 83.8 hit percentage, 722 assists, 39.3 assist percentage, 1475 complete serves, and 92.4 serve percentage. The Cats were led by Makenna Treat with 192 kills and in kill percentage with 40.2%. Treat also led the team in blocks with 62. Lexi Cunningham led the team in aces with 30 and digs with 250. Charli Richardson led the team in hit percentage with 91.9 and completed hits with 417. Charli also led the team in assists with 334 and assist percentage with 44.6%.
