The girls made the long trip to Buhler on Friday, December 20th, and the Crusaders jumped out ahead of the Cats 42-21 in the first half. The Wildcats had a much better second half and came close to a comeback, but fell 59-67. Senior Olivia Ellis led the Cats with a career-high 24 points and etched her name in the record books, tying the 3-point record with six 3-pointers along with Carson White (2016-17) and Elise Gerlach (2012-13). Brittani Peschel and Kylie Schwanke also scored in double digits with 10 points each and Schwanke led the Cats on the boards with 4 rebounds.

Olivia Ellis isn't the only Ellis in the Mulvane High School record books. Her oldest brother Drew Ellis holds the 3-pointers made in a game record with 9 in the 2017-18 season, along with a couple football records. Her older brother Mason Ellis holds the record on the football side with the longest pass TD in a game (95 yards to Hunter Seier in 2021).

The JV girls had a very close game with the Crusaders, also falling behind in the first half, but mounting a comeback in the second half. The girls just ran out of time, falling 37-43. Halle Ensley and Kaitlyn Paul led the girls with 12 points each in the contest. The C-Team lost to Buhler. No box score or stats are available for this game at this time.
