The Mulvane girls wrestling team celebrated senior Leiannah Landreth on senior night, face Augusta and Clearwater.

The Mulvane High School wrestling team celebrated SR night last Thursday as they hosted Augusta and Clearwater for a triangular. The Wildcats recognized senior Leiannah Landreth, the only senior on the girls team this year. Landreth is a 4-year wrestler for the Wildcats and a 3-time state medalist.
The Wildcats won 6 matches against Augusta and won with a final score of 37-36 after a tie-breaker was applied. Leiannah Landreth, Emily Franklin, Makenzie Rogers, and Elaina Gamble all won their match by fall. The Wildcats won 5 matches against Clearwater but lost with a final score of 29-42. Mekenzie Wyant, Makenzie Rogers, and Elaina Gamble all won their match by fall.

The Mulvane Girls wrestling team traveled to Clearwater on Saturday for the Clearwater Invitational. The Cats finished in 6th place with 54 points and two medalists. Senior Leiannah Landreth finished in 1st place in the 125 lb weight class with 4 wins by fall. Junior Makenzie Rogers finished in 3rd place in the 145 lb weight class with 2 wins by fall.
