The Mulvane High School wrestling team opened up their 2024-25 season by hosting a home dual against McPherson last Thursday, December 5th. The Wildcats won 5 matches against McPherson but lost with a final score of 29-51. Koehn Dietrich, Kreedence Lavers, Hunter Landis, and Cameron Hagerman all won their match by fall.

The varsity boys made the very long trip to Hoxie for the Hoxie Invitational on Saturday and the Wildcats came home with a 5th place finish. Senior Hunter Dietrich grabbed a 3rd place medal, going 3-1 on the day. The JV boys participated in the Wichita Southeast JV invitational and the Cats had three 2nd place finishes and one 3rd place finish. Jaxon Avila (120 lb), Tegan Thrash (126 lb), and Justin Morgan (285 lb) all finished in 3rd place in their bracket. Caleb Holle (190 lb) finished in 2nd place.
