The Mulvane men's basketball team traveled to Rose Hill on Friday, January 31st for a non-league matchup against the Rockets. The Wildcats had a tough first half, going into halftime down 18-31. The Wildcats, however, were not deterred and came back with a vengeance, outscoring the Rockets 17-14 in the third quarter, and 21-10 in the 4th quarter to get the 56-55 win. The Wildcats had four players score in double digits, led by Manny Myers who score 14. Hudson Myers finished with 13 points, Canon Lazier with 12 points, and Jack Entwisle with 12 points.
The JV team also had a close game against Rose Hill. The Wildcats and the Rockets were tied 22-22 at halftime, and the score was tied 46-46 at the end of the buzzer. The Wildcats outscored the Rockets 11-7 in overtime for the 57-53 win. Dyllon Darling led the boys with 18 points on the evening and Tavion Richardson had a great game as well with 17 points.
The C team took care of business as they kept Rose Hill at bay all game long. The Wildcats fell behind in the first quarter 10-14. The boys outscored Rose Hill in the second quarter and were ahead at halftime 25-21. The Cats took control in the second half and got the 52-41 win. Parker Kraft led the Wildcats with 20 points in the game and Breken Downs broke into double digits with 12 points.
