The Mulvane men's bowling team earned a trip to state after their regional championship on Monday, February 24th, their first trip to state as a team in program history. The Wildcats also had two girls qualify for state individually, sophomore Olivia Blevins and freshman Penny Abrams.
The 4-1A State Tournament was held on Thursday, March 6th and the boys team had a fantastic day on the lanes. The Wildcats finished with a 2662 team series and were led by senior Joseph Cervantes, who finished with a 713 series and topped all bowlers and is the individual state champion. Joseph is only the second Wildcat to win a bowling state champion in program history. The Wildcats as a team finished in 2nd place overall with a 3571 after Baker is applied, behind Topeka Hayden. The Wildcats had two other state medalists as junior Jaxon Hornecker finished in 6th place overall with a series of 677 and senior Dagan Dannels finished in 19th place with a series of 610.
Freshman Jax Larkins finished with a series of 578 and 29th place overall. Junior Jace Larkins finished with a series of 560 and 36th place overall. Sophomore Dillon Hart finished with a series of 558 and 37th place overall. On the girls' side, Olivia Blevins finished with a 440 series for 36th place overall and Penny Abrams finished with a series of 318 for 61st place overall.
