The Mulvane High School basketball team made the long trip to Abilene on Tuesday for the first game of sub-state. The Wildcats fell behind in the first half, going into halftime down 26-36. The Cats made a few points up in the third quarter, but Abiline was able to finish strong in the fourth quarter and the Cats fell 54-69 to close out their 2024-25 season. Manny Myers led the Cats with 19 points in the game and Jack Entwisle finished with 13 points and Hudson Myers with 10 points. Braylon Barnes and Cooper Slayton led the Cats on the boards with 5 rebounds each.

The Wildcats finished the season with a 6-15 record and 1-9 in AVCTL D3 league play. Junior Manny Myers led the Wildcats in points this season with 329 points, 91 2-pointers, 30 3-pointers, and 57 free throws. Manny also finished with 95 rebounds and a team high 42 assists. Junior Canon Lazier led the Wildcats in rebounds with 105 on the season and also finished with 290 points and a team high 43.7 field goal percentage for the Wildcats. Sophomore Jack Entwisle finished with 148 points and 41 rebounds and Hudson Myers finished with 127 points and team high 42 assists.
