The Mulvane High School basketball team closed out their 2024-25 regular season last week with a home game against McPherson and an away game against Circle. The Cats traveled to Circle on Thursday for their final game of the season. The varsity girls were behind by 2 points after the first quarter, but a monster 2nd and 3rd quarter for the Cats propelled them to a large lead and the Cats finished with the 61-41 win. Brittani Peschel led the Cats with 24 points and Kierra Cain and Olivia Ellis both scored in double digits with 12 and 11 points respectively. Peschel also led the team in rebounds with 9 boards.

The JV team battled hard but fell 43-46. The Wildcats got down in the first half by 7, but had a great second half, but fell just short. Kaitlyn Paul and Jaryn Baker led the Ladycats with 10 points each in the game. The C-team had trouble breaking through the Circle defense all evening as they fell 19-31. Isabelle Colvin led the girls with 9 points on the evening.
