The Wildcats compete two wrestlers at the 4A State Tournament. Koehn Dietrich comes home with 3rd state medal.

The Mulvane wrestling team had two wrestlers who qualified for state in the regional tournament on February 22nd. Seniors Koehn Dietrich and Cameron Hagerman punched their ticket to the 4A State tournament. For Deitrich, this would be his 3rd trip to state and Hagerman's first trip.

Koehn kicked off his state tournament against Levi Willmann from Chapman and won by decision 6-0. Koehn's next match was against Lucas Batz from Holton and Koehn lost by major decision. His next match in the consolation bracket was against Deonte Crain of Lindsborg-Smoky Valley and Koehn won by fall. This sent him to the heartbreak round where he won by decision over Gage Taylor of Abilene. This guaranteed Dietrich a spot on the podium. In the consolation semi, he faced Tucker Saferite of Rose Hill and lost by decision. This sent Koehn to the 5th place match where he met Tanner Sleichter of Santa Fe Trail. Koehn was up in points in the 3rd period but got caught and pinned to secure a 6th place spot on the podium. Koehn finished his high school career at Mulvane with a 129-48 record and 3 state medals.

Cameron Hagerman kicked off his state tournament with a match against Brayden Yoder of Louisburg and won by decision with a score of 3-2. Hagerman's next match was against Broderick Desch of Topeka-Hayden and Hagerman lost by decision 10-4. His next match was against Raul Perez of Pratt and Hagerman lost by fall in the second period. Cameron finished his Mulvane High School career with a record of 65-46.
