MHS - Women's Soccer / April 11, 2024 By Kasey McDowell
The Mulvane High School girls soccer team had two games this past week, both at home, hosting the Collegiate Spartans on Tuesday and the Augusta Orioles on Thursday. The Wildcats found the net once in the first half against Collegiate, but in the second half, the Cats went wild and dropped in 5 more goals. Junior Jade Smallwood led the Cats with 3 goals and 1 assist. Mackenzie Christian, Teagan Garrison, and Ashlyn Alumbaugh each had 1 goal in the game, with Alumbaugh picking up her first goal of the season. Mallory Ramos had 1 assist in the game. Madison Shaw guarded the Wildcats net and finished the game with 1 save with 1 shot on goal.
There was no JV game against Collegiate.

On Thursday, the Wildcats hosted the Augusta Orioles. The game was a defensive battle for most of the game between both teams, but Augusta was able to slip in a couple of goals against the Wildcats. Madison Shaw guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 5 saves with 7 shots on goal. The JV team lost 0-3 to Augusta.
