Mulvane graduate Blake Wilson topped off his High School career by participating in the 43rd annual KS Shrine Bowl All Star Game last night at Emporia State. Blake is only the 9th Wildcat in history to be honored to participate in the game. The previous Wildcats selected are:

5. Tyler Springer - 2009
6. Zach Burkhart - 2011

In the Shrine Bowl, where regardless of the score everyone wins, the East squad came out with a 48-27 victory in the highest-scoring Shrine Bowl game in it's 43 year history. This marks the second year in a row (and third time in the last 4 years) where the East squad has prevailed over the West. Prior to that, the West squad had been enjoying 7 straight victories over the East going back to 2006.
Blake finished the Shrine Bowl with 6 Total tackles (3 solo, 3 ast), 1 tackle for loss (TFL) solo, 1 TFL ast, and 2 TFL total yards. Click here for all game defensive stats.
Wilson finished his career at Mulvane with 193 tackles, two 2nd Team All League selections, and All Class 4A - Honorable Mention selection from the Wichita Eagle and Topeka Capital Journal. He will continue his football career at Emporia State University where he signed to play Linebacker.
