The Mulvane Middle School football teams were back home again in week 4 of season play, hosting two very good Andover teams on Tuesday, September 19th.
Both 8th-grade teams were scoreless in the first quarter. Andover was able to find the endzone in the second quarter and Kane Cuthbertson scored a defensive touchdown for the Wildcats with a 47-yard INT return for a TD. That would be the only score for the Cats in the game as they fell 6-16 to the Trojans. "We played a pretty good defensive game but just could not get things going on offense," said Coach Beikman. "Andover was a physical team, but I felt our kids matched them in being physical."

The 7th-grade team had trouble getting their offense rolling against the Trojans with their only touchdown coming in the 4th quarter as Beckett Frazier scored on a 14-yard TD run. "We could not get anything going on offense," said Coach Beikman. "Our defense played well but was on the field too much. We let the game get away from us late and could not overcome our mistakes."
